This post about Holland flower fields, how and when is better to see them. I
tried to find in the internet exact address and coordinates of these
fields, but I failed. Everybody publish only approximate description
with only city name or +/- 5 kilometers precision. The
main reason why I made this article is to guide tourists how to find
exact position of Tulip Fields in The Netherlands and how to get to that
places. This post was originally created on 19 April 2015, but most probably this information will be actual for many years later.

For
whom who is lazy to read a lot and who want go and see it immediately, I

drive and admire these flower fields.

Which flowers it is possible to see on the Holland fields
In
The Netherlands on the big fields basically people grow 3 kinds of
flowers: Hyacinths, Narcissus and Tulips. First start blossoming
Hyacinths and later Narcissus and Tulips. But everything depends on kind
of flower. There is different kind of tulip, some of them start to
blossom early some of them later.
In which region these fields are located
Most of the tulip plantation are located near city Lisse along N208 road. This region is marked on the map below
When is better to go
This
is the most complicated question. Flowers on the fields are blossoming
very short period of time, about 2-3 weeks. Also during the trip
planning, it is better to take into account that Hyacinths and Narcissus
blossom early and Tulips later. In this 2015 year 18 April blossoming
of Hyacinths and Narcissus almost finished, but tulips just started.
However, different varieties of Tulips are blooming in different time.
On one field Tulips were just with buds, but on another they already
start blooming. In general it is better to see them in the middle of
April, but it is really depends on the weather in each year. For
example, in 2014 on 30 March it was already very beautiful.
How to get there and see fields
It
is possible to get there by car with GPS coordinates of marked points
or by bicycle. Parking can be a problem, because of blooming season is
very short and many tourists want to see and make a picture with
flowers. In many cases entrance to the fields is forbidden and
inhabitants do not like this. But many people do it, how it is shown in
the picture :)
I remember when farmer came and ask everyone to go out.
In worse case scenario it is possible to see the fields through canal like this
By
bicycle it will be much easier to get the parking, than by car. If you
have a chance to go there by bicycle, it is preferred option.
By public transport to get to each point may be difficult. In this case, most probably, better decision is to visit Keukenhof and fields just in front of this park (Point 6).

I drove from The Hague (Den Haag) to Amsterdam, if you prefer reverse direction, just read this section from the end :)
Point 1
There
is a street parking in this place, looks like it is free. I saw there
only hyacinths. Although nearby about 300 meters I saw tulips, but it
was difficult to come close by car. It is possible to come to the field
only through somebody’s garden. After our visit owner block up the
entrance by his car. But directly from the parking place it is also nice

Point 2
In
this place it is easy to come and park car on the dead end street. When
I wrote this article there were 2 fields, one with red tulips with easy
access, and second with hyacinths with closed entrance. Photos are

Point 3
Address: The Netherlands, Achterweg-Zuid 52, 2161 Lisse
Achterweg-Zuid
is a minor road with several fields and small traffic. Hyacinths were
grown on this field. Entrance is possible. Parking is possible on the
side of the road or on the edge of the field. First picture has GPS position in EXIF.
Point 4

Parking can be found in the shopping center Tuincentrum Overvecht. Entrance to the field from the corner with GPS position N52.251234,E4.541439. Above GPS coordinates of parking are mentioned. This is field with tulips. Photographical evidence is below. First picture has GPS position in EXIF.
Point 5

Parking
is possible on the entrance to the field between the trees. Later you
need to squeeze under the barrier with text “entrance forbidden” and
walk around 200 meters to the field. Actually here 2 fields are located,
one with hyacinths of different colors and another with tulips. Photo

Point 6
GPS Coordinates: N52.27509,E4.54721

Maybe
this is one of the most beautiful places, where all variety of flowers
are presented. Hyacinths, Narcissus and tulips of different colors,
including very nice tulips like yellow with red stripe and etc. This
field is located very close to Keukenhof. It is about 300 meters from second entrance to Keukenhof.
Second entrance is intended for people, who came by car. If you come by
bus, you will be entering via main entrance. From main entrance to this
field it may be difficult to walk or you will need more time. Parking
on the side of the road is possible and everybody do it. Entrance to the
field is possible, but note “Entrance forbidden” is there. It is
possible to try to combine visit of Keukenhof and this field. In the
Keukenhof you can view this field from the big windmill. This windmill
has special observation area which is open for visitors. Photographs are

If you read this post in the beginning or middle of April, then you have a chance to buy tickets and watch these amazing fields.
